LINKMED® IE_Getting Started

Thank you for your interest in LINKMED® Iinterface Technologies. The following tutorial will help you familiar with the LINKMED® applications and its functionalities, this tutorial shows how LINKMED® Integration software is used in real-world interfacing environments connecting Diagnostic Medical Devices and Systems with Hospital Information and EMR systems.
The first part of this tutorial is focus on LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP communication drivers, the second part is focus on LINKMED® HL7 Mapper and how to create an interface template, the last part is focus on LINKMED® interface utilities uses to maintain, automate and trouble shooting your interface.

LINKMED® IE_Installation

You can send us email request for the LINKMED® IE trial software or if you had LINKMED® IE CD-ROM version please follow the following installation steps to install yourLINKMED® IE interface software:

Place the LINKMED® IE CD-ROM into the CD-ROM Drive
Click on " Install LINKMED® IE " to begin software installation
Follow on screen wizard
Choose if you want to install MySQL database software, MySQL is used as LINKMED® Intermediate database when Bi-directional interface is needed, a free copy of MySQL can be downloaded from MYSQL web site, click on the URL link to download MySQL software
If the PC disable the Autorun feature do the following
a)- Right-click on the START Menu and select Explore
b)- Highlight the CD-ROM Drive that contains LINKMED® IE CD-ROM
c)- Locate the LINKMED® IE setup icon
d)- Double-Click on the Setup icon to begin the LINKMED® IE installation
Follow on screen wizard
DO NOT change the interface default installation directory: C:\LINKMED\
Call LINK Medical registration line at 1-888-893-0900 or 1+ 781-453-0300 to obtain your extension or permanent registration numbers (no registration numbers required for the first 30 day after installation)
